Today is the Autumn Equinox… the first day of Fall. The time of year temperatures start to dip, trees put on a display of warm colors, sunsets are most vibrant, and the air becomes crisp! I love this season! And not just because the Month of Lori is right around the corner.

The two subjects I never thought I’d write about: politics and love. Politics, for obvious reasons (even though I have a love for politics). Love, because it is just so personal. But I guess the subject would eventually present itself. And it did.
It’s that time of year again! Happy New Year! As I sit here writing this post I am reflecting on the year gone by. I am thinking about what went well and what did not. After all, it’s time to come up with a new bucket list for 2017. But in order to do that, I must reflect on 2016. I had goals last January. I didn’t meet all of them, but all in all I did pretty well! Like I said last year, it’s hard to keep resolutions. But I find if they align with my values and what is important to me it’s easier to keep them. Or at least not forget them. Let’s see how I did…
Thanksgiving is the holiday when we give thanks for our blessings. A time to reflect and be grateful. A time to spend with family and friends and focus on what is truly important. But the benefits of being grateful can reach far beyond the season of Thanksgiving.

I fell in love with Sam before I even met him. That cute little heart-shaped nose. At least it looked that way to me in the photos. Little did I know he would be such a blessing to me and bring so much joy to my life. I can’t imagine my life without him. But of course there’s a story…..
