I knew when I met you an adventure was going to happen.

Spring has arrived!  At least the calendar says so. And three weeks ago at that. But some days feel more like summer (one day was 80 degrees!) and others feel more like winter again, dipping into the 30s over night. We even had snow flurries last weekend. This is how it is for us living in Virginia. Summer one day… Winter the next. I can’t put away the boots and the parka just yet. I love the days when we actually have temps in the 60s…. opening windows and letting in the fresh air. A friend once told me opening the windows was like a form of spring cleaning. A renewal of sorts. It is definitely refreshing!

I love all of the seasons. All four of them. They each have something special to offer. And when it’s time for the next one to roll in I’m ready for it!

The Super Bowl changed its name this year to Super Bowl 50 instead of using Roman numerals as they have in the past. I was actually looking forward to Super Bowl L.  After all….”L” happens to be my favorite letter.

Wherever your heart is.  That's where you'll find your treasure.

Time. We all have it. We all need it. We all want more of it. At least I do. Can I have some more? Please?

Some blogger I am. I haven’t posted since the first weekend in January. And here I sit, writing a blog post about not having enough time to write a blog post! Maybe I should have waited to start “touring my life” until it was warmer than 30° outside and sleet wasn’t piercing my skin like shards of glass moving at the speed of light. But life doesn’t wait for fair-weather participants. Life is now. Even if it’s cold and wet.

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

 Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s New Year’s. And this is the time of year people make resolutions – to eat healthier, to exercise more, to lose weight, to travel, to start a hobby, to save money… and the list goes on. Some of the time our goals are so lofty and unrealistic that resolutions are eventually broken by January 31st and are sadly left behind until the following year when they are resurrected and end up in a whirlwind of resolve once again. I know… sounds negative. But I think it’s the reality. It’s like Lent… when I give up chocolateOr wine.  <Gasp>

As the New Year rolls in I sit and reflect on the year gone by.  All the wonderful things 2015 brought to me as well as some of the trials. I find myself looking forward to 2016.  A New Year, a turning of the page, even though January 1st is “just” the day after December 31st. The turning of the year is like the change of season. A chance to usher in something new. Or, improve on the existing.
